Our drive into Vienna (apart from the unsightly suburbs around the ``South Freeways'': Südautobahn) was ``majestic'': along the Danube Canal, then along the Ring, past the Staatsoper, the Hofburg castle, the parliament, the town hall, the university, and so on.
