Our Apartment:

Dines had gotten the 2 room (living + bed) + kitchen + bath + WC + entry hall + storage room apartment with balcony, facing west, Obere Donaustraße 21/3/9 (4th floor). through the Austrian universities' apartment agency (Austrian Exhange Service). At 990 for the month it was reasonable. It is close to the Vienna inner city, facing the Donau Kanal and the Alsergrund, i.e., the 9th district, Kari often walked in to the inner city. My work day, after breakfast, started with a brisk walk, some 400 meters taking the footbridge across the Kanal,

right in front of the apartment complex, to the #U4 underground, then 8 mins. train travel, emerging up the escalator to the Karls Platz, and there, right in front of you is the Karls Kirsche and the 1823 main building of the TU. From the trees along the Kanal, leaves just coming out, to the 18th century Baroque church -- what a day to start and end the work day !
