Waldviertel Textilstraße:

Saturday and Sunday 17-18 April we motored to the Waldviertel, some 120 kms. northwest of Vienna. The target for our trip was a Patchwork & Quilt exhibition in Groß Siegharts.

After that lunch and visit to the church in Waidhofen an der Thaya.

We arrived at 4 pm at our overnight destination, a nice hotel and restaurant in Kaltenbach near Vitis: Landgasthaus Zum Topf. Next day visit to the Zwettl monastery.

and a drive along the Danube, revisiting ``old'' places: Spitz, Joching, Weissenkirschen, etc. -- even crossing the Donau on a cable ferry operated by the strong river current and suitable settings of the rudders.
