ACM Student Research Competition
The Conference on Parallel Architectures and Compilation Techniques (PACT) invites submissions of high-quality posters for the ACM Student Research Competition (SRC). Sponsored by ACM and Microsoft Research, the SRC is a forum for undergraduates and graduate students to share their research results, exchange ideas, and improve their communication skills while competing for prizes.Important Dates:

Submission:
All participants must submit the following:- A draft version of the poster, which should also include author names, affiliations, and the name of the academic advisor. The poster should be scaled down to be printable on A4 paper (210mmx297mm) and should be submitted in PDF format. The poster may be accompanied by explanatory text (submitted in plain text or PDF format). The poster plus additional text should be in English and should not exceed 800 words. They should describe the research problem, motivation and background, techniques and results. They should emphasize the novelty and unique contributions of the work explicitly.
- To be eligible for the ACM Student Research Competition, the poster must be authored solely by a student, and the student must be an ACM student member. Student poster authors must be students at submission. Please indicate whether you are an undergraduate or graduate student.

Travel Grant:
Students accepted to participate in the SRC are entitled to a travel grant (up to $500) to help cover travel expenses.Prizes:
The top three undergraduate and graduate winners will receive the following prizes:- Monetary prizes of $500, $300, and $200 (USD), respectively.
- An award medal and a two-year complimentary ACM membership with a subscription to ACM's Digital Library.
- An invitation to participate in the SRC Grand Finals. The top three Grand Finalists receive an additional $500, $300, and $200 respectively and a handsomely framed Grand Finalist certificate. They are invited to ACM's annual Awards Banquet.
Selection Process:
The SRC consists of two rounds: a poster session and a presentation session. A panel of judges will select a number of finalists from the poster session, who will be invited to the presentation session at PACT 2010. The evaluation will be based on the quality of both visual and oral presentation, the research methods, and the significance of contribution.For more information, please visit the ACM Student Research Competition web site at http://src.acm.org.
