Welcome to PPPJ 2010

The 8th International Conference on the Principles and Practice of Programming in Java will bring together researchers, teachers, practitioners and programmers who study or work with the Java language or its virtual machine. The conference provides an opportunity to discuss principles, best practices and new ideas in a friendly and fertile academic environment.

Previous PPPJs have been held in Calgary, Modena and Lisbon. PPPJ 2010 is organized in cooperation with ACM SIGAPP and ACM SIGPLAN.

Work in Progress Session

Congratulations to Andreas Sewe for winning the Best Student Poster Award!
His work is titled Scala = Java (mod JVM) -- On the Performance Characteristics of Scala Programs on the Java Virtual Machine.

Proceedings from the the Work in Progress session have been published at CEUR-WS.org.

The Work in Progress session at PPPJ 2010 will provide an opportunity for researchers to present new ideas or the current status of their work in the course of the conference. If you are interested in participating, please go to the WiP section for details.
