Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue

This is a reissue of the famous Blues Deluxe model produced by Fender. All PCB-design, features 2 channels, 6L6 tubes, 40 Watt output power, spring reverb and a FX loop. Comes with Eminence 12 inch speaker. First channel stays clean until you drive the output stage very hard. Then it breaks up nicely and produces that singing tone Fender is known for. The second channel provides slightly more gain, however, still not enough to play some harder stuff. This amp is really very loud. Suprisingly loud for the rated 40 Watt.

Got it used but in a nearly mint condition for 450 EUR, which 2008 i considered a good deal :-). Well built, good quality, still not sure about the drive channel, the clean channel sounds very fenderish. The builtin spring reverb, as well as the FX loop, is also very good. Takes pedals well, still, you most probably won't be able to turn this amp into a heavy metal machine.

In contrast to the original vintage models, these ones are easily available and usually reasonably priced. If you are looking for a versatile, robust and good sounding 2 channel Fender amp, try this one, i guess you will like it. The only drawback, as with most tube amps, it sounds better at higher volumes, which in turn means, this amp is for sure not a bedroom amp !
