jerry:  do you have or know where I can get the code for "R. Wyckoff's 
'A Forth Simulator for the TMS-320 IC' Roch. Forth conf. 1983"  I also 
need a copy of the article.  I am contemplating getting the sky computer 
board that puts a tms-32010 into my at-clone.  I am doing artificial 
neural network experiments (see my hopefully soon to be published 
article in april '87 ddj) and i want to speed the bugger up.  my program 
in C currently takes from 2 to 6 hours on a 10MHz AT-clone w/10MHz 
80287.  I have estimated that this chip could speed things up to 30 
second to 5 minute runs!

RJ, I don't have the code for the TMS320 simulator, but could send you a 
copy of the paper (from the 83 Roch proceedings). I'd suggest you try to 
contact Richard Wyckoff at U. of Rochester directly - it's worth a shot. 
If he's no longer there, you might try Larry Forsley and see if he can 
help you out. Leave me your address if you need a copy of the paper.

Call Martin Tracy at Forth Inc.  He has a digital signal processing
Forth extension for the TMS-320.  He demonstrated a real time 
fft with nice screen graphics at FIG convention in November at Sanat
a Clara.   He was using a board from, I think, Britain.  Might
be interesting to compare prices and notes.
