After originally submitting the CF83DEMO package earlier this month, a bug was discovered which caused the system to crash on the CoCo III under some conditions. The bug did not effect the CoCo II. If you are using a CoCo II, the DEMO's operation will be identical, no matter which of the versions you have. If you are using a CoCo III, insert your disk in Drive #0 and enter RUN CF83DEMO - After clearing the opening screen to the "ok" prompt, enter: 262 c@ . If the result is 59, you have the corrected version and you do not need to do anything further. If the result is 0, you have the older version and you should download this corrected version. Alternatively, you can correct the older version by entering: 16 base ! create coco3 ( -- ) here dup 2- ! 3406 , 1A50 , 867E , B7FE , F4B7 , FEF7 , CC47 , 32FD , FEF5 , CC46 , C4FD , FEF8 , 1CAF , 3506 , AEA1 , 6E91 , decimal coco3 forget coco3 Unfortunately, you will have to enter this code each time you run the DEMO, so it would probably be better to download this corrected version instead.
