Forth Interest Group P.O. Box 8231 San Jose, CA 95155 (408) 277-0668 Chapter Rules and Operation A FIG chapter is not a part of or an agent of the Forth Interest Group, a California non-profit corporation. Therefore, you may organize the chapter as you wish. It may be an association or corporation, or it may be an informal group without a bank account. It is OK with us if members of the local chapter are not members of FIG. It's also OK if the number of FIG members in the chapter goes below the five originally needed to start the chapter, but at least the contact person must be a FIG member. A local chapter can charge its own dues if it wishes. The finances of the chapter, if any, are completely separate from those of FIG. While we require that chapters allow open participation, we also welcome institutional chapters intended mainly for members of a certain company, school, or other organization. We must have an active contact person and valid address and phone at all times, so let us know of changes.
