Task Description

Transactions are required for a reliable and atomic execution of several operations. However, transaction control in distributed and asynchronous applications is a complex issue. Therefore, existing ways shall be analyzed, and new ways investigated, how to map the concept of transactions to this context. A practical prototype shall be developed and integrated in a system for parallel and distributed processing, called Application Space.
