1996-1999: EU ESPRIT Project
Coordination of the Austrian part of an industry project supported by the European Commission: VHF - A Virtual Hypermedia Factory, ESPRIT IV Multi Media Pilot Project, with cooperation partners come from 4 countries, including industry, academy, and users.
1983-1985: Medical Database
Installation and maintenance of a self-developed medical, time-oriented database system (the CCU database system), including user training, and documentation, at the Kardiologische Universitätsklinik, AKH Wien, at the Krankenhaus für Barmherzige Schwestern in Linz, and at the Rehabilitationszentrum in Bad Tatzmannsdorf.
The CCU DBS was designed and developed for the needs of the CCU (Cardiological Care Unit) and adapted to meet the needs of medical databases in general, supporting automatic input from external medical devices (e.g., CPK values).
The consulting activities included advice for equipment acquisition (UNIX Computer based on 68000 processors, terminals, printers), as well as UNIX support, and data modeling for the special application domains of the different stations at the hospitals: e.g., Care Unit, Reception, Angiography.
1997-2004: Spin-Off
Founder and Chief Technical Officer of a spin-off company from the TU-Wien.
