1983-1985: Medical Database
Installation and maintenance of a self-developed medical, time-oriented database system (the CCU database system), including user training, and documentation, at the Kardiologische Universitätsklinik, AKH Wien, at the Krankenhaus für Barmherzige Schwestern in Linz, and at the Rehabilitationszentrum in Bad Tatzmannsdorf.
The CCU DBS was designed and developed for the needs of the CCU (Cardiological Care Unit) and adapted to meet the needs of medical databases in general, supporting automatic input from external medical devices (e.g., CPK values).
The consulting activities included advice for equipment acquisition (UNIX Computer based on 68000 processors, terminals, printers), as well as UNIX support, and data modeling for the special application domains of the different stations at the hospitals: e.g., Care Unit, Reception, Angiography.
