This document describes the on-disk layout for dtfs. There is also an include file available dtfs_header.h, that holds C--data structues that represent the on-disk layout for the dtfs metadata blocks.
This paper shows how data will actually be placed on a physical device within dtfs. The data structures have been designed in a way that should ease the implementation of future enhancements in dtfs without having to alter the on-disk data structures in an incompatible way. Furthermore an overview is given on how versioning and support for multiple logical file systems within one dtfs file system can be implemented using the current on-disk data structures in the future.
