We stayed at the Austria Hotels'
Grand Hotel Bohemia. Wolfgang Bekic, son of Dines' IBM Vienna
Laboratory (1973-1975) colleague, the late Hans Bekic, got us
probably the best room at a sharply reduced price. (W. used to be with
Austria Hotels). Lovely room. From the hotel, walking west one is
immediately in the quaint old streets of Prague, few minutes from the
Old Town Square. Kari took a stroll down to the Charles Bridge while
Dines enjoyed the room. (Too many, far too many tourists.)
In the late evening we had a chat with Ivan Havel in
the bar of Hotel Paris, just across from our hotel.
