vblank_mode=0 glxgearswe get FPS numbers. Here are some numbers I have measured:
fps CPU; GPU; comments 34500 Ryzen 8700G (Zen4); Ryzen 8700G (Radeon 780M); 100% CPU usage at 4700MHz in the glxgears thread; Eco Mode: 61W power limit 13400 Core i5-6600K; Radeon HD6770 12500 Core i5-1135G7 (Tiger Lake); Core i5-1135G7 (Iris Xe 80EUs); 12W power limit, Wayland 6295 Athlon 64 3200+; Radeon X850XT 5424 Athlon 64 3200+; Radeon X800GTO 3800 Core 2 Duo 8400; Radeon X1650 Pro 3775 Athlon 64 3200+; Radeon 9600XT 3500 Athlon 64 3200+; Radeon 9250 (AGP); with "hyperz=true" 2888 Athlon 64 3200+; Radeon X550 2358 Athlon 64 3200+; Radeon 9600 (AGP) 2185 PPC7447A 1066MHz; Mobile Radeon 9200; iBook G4 1500 Atom 330; GeForce 9400M (Nvidia Ion); proprietary driverNumbers from X11 unless otherwise noted.
Further experiments indicate that the 8700G is CPU limited at the default size; increasing the size of the window does not reduce the FPS up to 320x320; only at 330x330 do I see a reduction in FPS.
For more numbers see the archived version of www.free3d.org.
vblank_mode=0 glxgears -geometry 1000x1000The result is, of course, even more fill-rate dominated that the default size.
