Sample Pictures of a Topographical Map

These pictures were rendered with the program Vistapro. I have taken the elevation information from Yosemite National Park, changed the snow and tree levels, and added the rivers and "buildings". (Yes! I know! They don't look great but that's a limitation of the program. :-)

The first picture was rendered with the camera positioned 5000 meters above the surface. The rivers and the two villages are clearly visible. I did not render clouds, shadows, and trees.

The second picture is the same landscape viewed from the hill in the north-west of the bigger village, looking down into the valley.
