Bryce 3D Quality Animation

Animation of Material Quality Factor (QuickTime)

Here I animated the quality factor from 0 to 80. The density itself is driven by component A (Earth, again) and set to a constant factor. The fuzzy factor is also constant.

This animation was very interesting. After every frame, Bryce calculated that the rest of the animation would need 20 minutes. But for the next frame the quality factor was higher. So it took longer to render that frame. And Bryce happily announced that the animation will be finished in 20 minutes. :-)

What is the order of the algorithm?

After one night and half a day I stopped the rendering. Why? It would only take another 20 minutes (18 to be exact) to finish the animation [grin]. Don't try this at home, kids! (At least don't try it with a quality factor of 100.)
