You all ponder the situation for a while longer, wondering just who looks upon your fates, and if that hand will be so kind the next time around... The temples weathered facade still beckons to you. It's strange that there has been no activity since the attack. Even the corpses have made no movement. You have seen none of the Hek or of whatever may exist inside the temple. You eventually make your way through the battlefield to the temple steps. You walk up the few steps onto the entrance, which is flanked by two large plain pillars. The pinnacle of rock that looms above you now covers your heads as you move into its shade. The temple doors are right ahead of you, weathered and dusty with age. Michael. The luck has now been sent to you.You will receive good luck within four days of receiving this message - Provided you, in turn send it on. This is no joke. You will receive good luck in the mail. But no money. Send copies to people you think need good luck. Don't send money as fate has no price.Do not keep this message. This message must leave your hands in 96 hours. A United States Air Force Officer received 470,000 Dollars. Another Man received 40,000 Dollars and lost it because he broke the chain. Whereas in the Philippines, Gene Welch lost his wife 51 days after receiving the message. He failed to circulate the message. However, before his death, he received 7,555,000 dollars. Please send twenty copies and see what happen in four days. The chain comes from Venezuela and has written by Saul De Groda, A Missionary from South America. Since the copy must tour the world, you must make twenty copies and send them to friends and associates - After a few days you will get a surprise - This is true, even if you are not superstitious. Do not the following: Constantine Dias received this chain in 1958. He asked his secretary to make twenty copies and send them out. A few days later he won a lottery of two million dollars. Carlos Daditt, an office employee, received the message and forgot that it had to leave his hands in 96 hours. He lost his job. Later, after finding that message again, He mailed twentycopies. A few days later he got a better job. Dalan Fairchild received the message and, not believing - Threw the message away. Nine days later he died. In 1987, The message received by a young woman in California was very faded and barely readable. She promised herself that she would retype the message and send it on, But she set it aside to do it later. She was plagued with various problems, including expensive car repairs. The letter did not leave her hands within 96 hours. She finally typed the letter as promised and got a new car. If finding another way in is impractical, then maybe Torgan should climb the pillar. By the way, after the near-fatal tussle with the undead, Brevan is on full alert, with sword drawn and shield ready at all times. He keeps a constant roving look-out around the party while it is stopped at the temple gate, hoping to avoid being surprised by anything coming up from OUTSIDE the temple. -Vince/Brevan From wright@insane.apana.org.au Mon Mar 7 09:59:58 1994 Received: from werple.apana.org.au by yarrina.connect.com.au with SMTP id AA25693 (5.67b8/IDA-1.5 for ); Mon, 7 Mar 1994 18:58:44 +1000 Received: from insane.apana.org.au (root@insane.apana.org.au [202.12.87.58]) by werple.apana.org.au (8.6.5/8.6.5) with ESMTP id SAA18621; Mon, 7 Mar 1994 18:58:10 +1000 Received: from localhost (wright@localhost) by insane.apana.org.au (8.6.4/8.6.4) id TAA16708; Mon, 7 Mar 1994 19:50:03 +1100 From: Michael Wright Message-Id: <199403070850.TAA16708@insane.apana.org.au> Subject: ATG : Turn 91 To: alex (Alex), vjg@cbcosmos.att.com (Brevan), gt6441c@prism.gatech.edu (Elhmo), jcarl@jabba.ess.harris.com (Junior), sinari@vinkku.hut.fi (Taufee), IO01108@MAINE.maine.edu (Te-rasti), guedos@mr.insa-tlse.fr (Torgan), wright@insane.apana.org.au (Michael Wright) Date: Mon, 7 Mar 1994 19:49:59 +1100 (EST) X-Mailer: ELM [version 2.4 PL23] Content-Type: text Content-Length: 699 Status: OR Junior makes out some of the runes. Te-rasti knows where the symbols lie, and can attempt to open the door, otherwise you may just have to activate this trap. BTW, the doors are of an ancient oaken type of wood. He didn't know why but he thought this one wasn't an ordinary skeleton. The vial of holy water was poised to splash on the creature and Junior was just waiting for the right moment. The others closed in and Junior took his opportunity as its attention was drawn forward. He threw the open vial at the skeleton hoping most of the liquid would connect. The skeleton is the first to attack, swinging its mighty sword straight at Brevan. Its aim is excellent, much better than any other type of dead creatures that you have seen or heard of. The sword comes away from Brevan's body awash with red blood (7 points damage). Elhmo sees this and begins to become very worried for his own safety, but knows that everyone must work together or no-one will survive. He jabs his spear (not a very good weapon to use against a skeleton, but it's all there is at the moment) toward the thing, and hits solidly! The attack throws the thing momentarily off balance, and seems to have damaged part of the bone (6 points damage). Brevan returns the attack on him with his own. His sword whistles through the air, its enchantment guiding the blade to the enemys body. The sword hits and makes another fair impression on this monster (6 points damage). Junior throws the holy water on the creature from behind, and watches it bubble and hiss over the things body. It seems to be dissolving the bones somewhat, though the creature seems to hardly notice (5 points damage). Torgan seems to be slinking back into the shadows, waiting for an opportunity to use the talents that he is best equipped for! [Note : I think that I am having a lot of trouble getting to Torgan. Could someone be kind enough to check to see if he gets this?] Te-rasti and Taufee both strike out together at the creature. Tafuee's flaming blade passes harmlessly out of the creatures range, while Te-rasti's long sword bites into the creature hard (7 points damage). Te-rasti also tries to hit with his dagger, but is unsucessful. This round : Brevan hit for 7 points Skeleton hit for 19 points Michael Wright.
